Once Upon a Time - Crossed Life AU
Sep. 16th, 2015 05:53 pmThere was nothing left for Chris in Beacon Hills. He had lost his wife and daughter. All that he had held dear beyond them was destroyed as well. All he had known, he now knew, had been a lie. Paris had been helpful in Chris finding at least a calm, even if it was a hollowness he clung to. He had nothing left but two things. Stopping his sister, and continuing to protect others.
For the most part the two went hand in hand, but when he got a call from a hunter he knew worrying about a possible rogue in Maine, he decided to catch a plane and help them check things out.
The trio had split up somewhere around midnight, not having found a single sight or sound of any type of wildlife. Honestly that was worrisome for Chris, and he wasn't letting his guard down. He had come over a small ridge when he realized that what should have been forest, and was shown that way on the map he'd been given, had given way to what looked like a town. At least it looked that way in the dark, a few lights showing but not many at that hour.
Carefully holstering his weapon, Chris moved closer to the edge of the village, a heavy frown curving his mouth.
"Why don't you show on the map," he muttered, having the fleeting, and terrifying, though that maybe this wasn't a rogue but a pack that had made a home of their own?

Emma looked at him critically. "Look, I can read people well, and you look a little lost. Let me help?" She held out her hand.
